*** 8pm – 9pm JourneyDance with Sasha Zeilig
JourneyDance™ is a transformational dance form that combines freestyle and structured movement to inspire you to get out of your mind and into your body.
JourneyDance™ is facilitated rather than taught. It is not about learning steps, it’s about revealing, recovering and re-discovering your natural intuitive movement. We activate imagination and utilize diverse forms of freestyle improvisational dance, yoga, ritual, theater, and shamanism to a soundtrack of inspiring world music, creating a barefoot ecstatic celebration of the human spirit.
Sasha Zeilig has been facilitating JourneyDance™ for 5 years and loves this free-form-framework of movement meditation. Sasha is also a Play Coach. (Like life coaching, but more fun! Get in touch with yourself and grow through creative process.) Through her company Come Play, Sasha creates Interactive Events for Families and Adults which focus on community and team building. She also organizes an annual women’s empowerment retreat every January in California’s Southern Sierra Mountain Range called the Southern Sierra Goddess Gathering. www.sashazeilig.com
*** 9pm – 10:50pm – Ecstatic Dance Journey w/ DJ Matt Cole
Music tells a story, and through electronic music, DJ Matt Cole artfully weaves song and sound to create a story that is engaging, playful, and highly danceable. Simply said, he is a dancer’s best friend.
As an intentional being who supports the vision of others, Matt Cole genuinely enjoys crafting sets to support performance elements. He is an involved and conscious collaborator, going far beyond the role of DJ and into the role of inspired co-creator. His deep affinity with the propitious power of music rings through in the beats he drops and his inventive and original style make him loved by music aficionados everywhere.

Ecstatic Dance Guidelines
1. Move however you wish
2. No talking on the dance floor
3. Respect yourself and one another
4. Ecstatic Dance is a Drug & Alcohol Free Space
5. Please also refrain from photos, video, and shoes & scents.
Many people dance in their own space, and others share their space with another.
To engage in a dance with someone, use sensitivity: Are they open to sharing their space with me? Mirror movements, offer a hand, brush by, make eye contact, and see & feel how they respond…
